{"product_id":"abstract","title":"Abstract","description":"\u003cp\u003eThe construction of this low-frequency absorption module is based on a very rigid metal chassis, to which a bituminous elastic layer is applied on each of the two sides of the module. The absorbing surfaces of the resonator are thin solid plates: a front plate with high elasticity and low internal friction, and a rear plate with lower elasticity, which produces high internal friction. This combination creates a continuous rigid connection through the metal casing between the front and rear plates and seals the module chassis – closed to air pressure but open to sound. The front and rear plates do not prevent low frequencies from entering the interior of the box, where they are cancelled out by interaction with a different air pressure. Just like a tunable Helmholtz resonator, the membrane is excited at its resonant frequency and vibrates so strongly that the weight of the dead mass pushes and pulls the air cushion inside the box. The ABSTRACT® resonant box formula contains two elastic masses that are separated from each other, which is favourable for isothermal compression. This provides better sensitivity and absorbs low frequencies even at very low sound pressure levels. The system is highly sensitive; nevertheless, the louder the sound system and the higher the volume, the greater the absorption you can achieve. The result is a highly effective low-frequency absorption panel. Using a simple air pump, you can freely change the internal air pressure and thus obtain different absorption frequencies. The distance between the membranes changes according to the air pressure difference; for example, with positive overpressure the distance is greater and the air pressure is higher than the original external pressure. As a result, the frequency shifts according to the frequency pattern described above. This model is ideal for concert halls, auditoria, pavilions, studios and music rooms. Integrating these acoustic modules is appropriate in all of these types of space.
