BASMEL® is a very affordable acoustic panel, typically used in larger quantities on ceilings and walls. It is made from flexible open-cell melamine resin or from standard acoustic foam. The finish can be either a thermoset polymer or a fire-retardant covering fabric.
The sound wave penetrates the open-cell structure, which reduces the reflected energy and gives this product excellent sound absorption.
BASMEL® panels are available with a covering fabric or in a simpler version without any finish. Several panel variants are available: the original (BAL060 / 120), side-covered with fabric (BAL060sc / 120sc), large-format boards with fabric (BAL200.2 / 200.4), or a perforated option (MABS® 060) with the pattern taken from the COSMOS® model.
The panels are available with a self-adhesive backing, which allows very quick and easy installation. For more information on all the available options, please see the table of models and sizes.
To cover the joints between panels we can also supply, on request, a roll of fabric adhesive tape that is very simple to apply. The acoustic and safety characteristics of BASMEL panels make this product ideal for noise reduction and as sound insulation in buildings, and they also meet demanding fire safety requirements.
They improve acoustic and sound insulation, thereby ensuring safety in line with environmental standards.

How to read the graph: the higher the curve rises, the better the element absorbs sound at that frequency – a value close to 1 means almost complete absorption, a value close to 0 means reflection back into the room.
