Groutpaint

GROUTPAINT® is a water-based acoustic anti-vibration adhesive paint. Unlike conventional damping materials, GROUTPAINT® is a low-density coating that delivers high damping performance while keeping weight low. This product is the key choice for reducing noise and reverberation time, ideal for use on large surfaces where added weight is strictly limited, such as plasterboard and concrete surfaces, building structures and ceilings, yachts, vehicles, trains, etc. It offers fast drying, environmental protection and fire resistance. GROUTPAINT® is made of 95% recycled mix. It can be spray-applied to almost any surface.

GROUTPAINT® is diluted with water (10%). We recommend applying a thin coat (800 g/m2) as a primer to improve adhesion and letting it dry completely before spraying the next coat. You can then apply a further 2 to 3 coats, up to a maximum thickness of 15 mm. The product effectively reduces reverberation time and increases the resonance effect and transmission loss. Naturally, it also lowers the resonant frequency of the raw base material caused by micro-vibrations, resulting in noise reduction.

• 10Kg pack, water-based, easy to use and maintain, 95% recycled composition
• Main composition: cellulose, textile, Rockwool fibres and inert mineral fillers
• Fire class: A2-s1,d0, non-combustible (equivalent to M0, CSTB)
• Absorption coefficient: 0,41/m² at 12 to 15mm thickness
• Application: sprayed with a pressure gun with an 8-12mm nozzle
• GROUTPAINT is diluted with water (approx. 10%). It is important to keep the same dilution throughout the job to ensure a consistent final appearance. Remember to add the additive before use and mix well.
• GROUTPAINT can be repainted in any water-based paint
• Drying time: 24 to 36 hours (ensure good ventilation)
• Coverage: 4kg/m² = 5mm up to 12kg/m² = depending on the required absorption
• Maximum thickness per coat: 5mm
